Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I've been super busy the past few weeks working on some new updates for the website. George and I have both been busy making subtle changes and working on some really cool additions that we will be launching in the new year!
Right now I'm working on re-filming and editing all of the old exercise videos so that all of the videos on the site will be in high definition format. Once I'm done all that, I'm going to build full length videos for all of the original workout routines!
Anyways a friend of mine shared this video with me last week and I've watched it about a dozen times. If you haven't seen it yet, then get ready to be blown away! It's pretty inspirational, the stunts on it are absolutely unbelievable and I think it's so awesome when someone is able to catch stuff like this on film!
You have to check out this video clip of the world's strongest six year old. I've seen a few other videos of him in the past and this kid is unbelievable. His name is Guilano Stroe and his dad has been training him in gymnastics and weightlifting since he was only 2 years old. The amount of strength, skill and body control that he displays at his young age is absolutely unreal!
In 2009, he was recorded in the Guiness Book of World Records for the fastest ever 10 metre (33 feet) hand-stand walk with a weighted ball between his legs and in 2010 he broke the world record for most air push-ups (which means you do them in a hand stand position and your feet don't touch the ground). He did 20 of them in front of a live studio audience.. the previous record was a mere 12!
It's crazy, this kid has better muscle definition than most of the trainers I know! If he keeps it up he will be an absolute monster when he's older and will definitely be choosing his own destiny, whether it be an Olympic level gymnast, an acrobat, an Olympic lifter, a Cirque performer or CrossFit world champion!

With a population well over a billion people I know China has a much bigger gene pool to draw from but this is getting a bit ridiculous!
Have a look at this video that was posted up on CrossFit Vancouver the other day. It's of an 8 year old chinese boy doing a very solid 75 kg. clean and jerk. Yes, I said eight years old...
I've been working on my clean and jerk for a few months now and I'm just starting to feel comfortable with the clean let alone the jerk. It blows me away when I see videos of young kids pulling off such complex lifts and moves, especially when it's with such a significant amount of weight! And it's also definitely a bit humbling knowing that I strive to have technique even close to this little powerhouse!
