Gluten Free Granola

 

Recipe for Gluten Free Granola

Delicious gluten-free breakfast cereal for those of us with gluten allergy/intolerance.



Ingredients:
Handful ELISA-certified gluten-free oats*
Handful whole almonds or other nut
Handful dry roasted plain sunflower seeds
Handful coconut (optional)
sprinkle cinnamon (optional)
Agave nectar
Brown sugar (optional)
*still good if you use regular oats, but wont be gluten free

Preparation:
Place dry ingredients on a baking sheet in a 350 degree Farenheit over for 8-15 minutes, or until golden.
In saucepan, pour in enough Agave nectar to coat the dry mixture. Stir in a small amount of brown sugar and let froth. Do not burn.
When dry mix is toasty, empty into saucepan and stir until coated. Scrape saucepan of sticky mix back onto baking sheet. Flatten a little, and pop back into the oven until a darker goloden brown is reached.
Let cool, and use a metal spoon or spatula to scrape off. Store in a tightly sealed container in the refridgerator up to a week.... or until your spouse eats it all... like at my house...
