Beginner exercises are for people who do not exercise frequently and/or have general mobility problems and need to strengthen their muscles for every day activities.
Equipment:  N/A

The abdominal crunch is a basic abs exercise that when done efficiently, really targets your abdominal muscles.

Instructions on how to do Ab Crunches

Step 1: How to do this Upper Abs Exercise: Step 1 Start by lying on your back with your feet shoulder width apart and your knees bent at a 45 degree angle.
Step 2: How to do this Upper Abs Exercise: Step 2 With your hands gently touching your head, lift your shoulders off of the floor by contracting your abdominals. Be sure to keep your feet placed on the floor throughout the entire crunch.
Step 3: How to do this Upper Abs Exercise: Step 3 Lower yourself back to the starting position and repeat the action.

I am 64 yrs how many abe crunches for beginnersw sholud I start with? Is 3 sets of 20 to much? I walk on the tread mill a mile every two days.

3 times a week in empty stomach of 8-20 reps (depending on your capacity - do not overstrain and not upto failure) of 3 sets should be fine.
