Intermediate exercises may be longer, more complex and/or more straining than a beginner exercise. Intermediate exercises challenge strength, control, balance, flexibility & power. Gain experience, mobility & strength with beginner exercises before moving on to intermediate programs.

This core exercise utilizes the muscles in the hips, abdominals, lower back and upper body. When done properly, this exercise will greatly increases your core strength and reduce the risk of lower back injury.

Instructions on how to do Deadbugs Intermediate

Step 1: How to do this Lower Abs Exercise: Step 1 Start by lying on your back with your arms straight up and fully extended. Your legs should be straight up with a slight bend in the knee.
Step 2: How to do this Lower Abs Exercise: Step 2 Using your opposite arm and leg, lower your arm down beside your head, while at the same time exhaling, contracting your abdominals, and squeezing your lower back to the floor as you extend your leg to the ground.
Step 3: How to do this Lower Abs Exercise: Step 3 Return to the starting position, alternate sides and repeat the action.
