Skill: Advanced
Once muscle strength, control, balance & flexibility have increased, more advanced exercises are employed to improve coordination, endurance, functionality, strength & power. Advanced exercises should not be attempted until you are comfortable with the basic manoeuvres found in Beginner & Intermediate exercises. Some exercises may need the supervision of a coach or spotter. Before performing advanced exercises, please consult your physician.

The stability ball push up is an advanced upper body exercise that works many different muscle groups including the chest, arms and core. It also requires a great amount of balance and strength to maintain form and stability throughout the exercise.

Instructions on how to do Stability Ball Push Up

Step 1: How to do this Chest Exercise: Step 1 Start in a push up position with your hands placed on top of the stability ball, your back straight and your head up.
Step 2: How to do this Chest Exercise: Step 2 Lower yourself down until your elbows are at 90 degrees and pause.
Step 3: How to do this Chest Exercise: Step 3 Lift yourself back up to the starting position and repeat action.
