The trunk twist with the rope is an intermediate core exercise. This exercise really isolates the obliques and targets the troublesome "love handles".

Instructions on how to do Trunk Twist with Rope

Step 1: How to do this Obliques Exercise: Step 1 Start with your feet a little wider than shoulder width apart and your knees bent. Grab the rope about shouder width apart as well and hold it at shoulder level.
Step 2: How to do this Obliques Exercise: Step 2 Engage you core and keep your back straight as you twist your trunk 90 degrees contracting your obliques at the full rotation. Keep your eyes on the center of the rope between your hands to make sure that your entire trunk is rotating throughout the exercise.
Step 3: How to do this Obliques Exercise: Step 3 Rotate your body back to the starting position and repeat the action. Be sure not to lean back or over to one side, you want to keep your feet firmly planted and your back and shoulders straight.
