Beginner Shoulders Exercises with Bench
The shoulder is the most movable joint in the body. However, it is an unstable joint because of the range of motion allowed. This instability increases the likelihood of joint injury, often leading to a degenerative process in which tissues break down and no longer function well.
Strengthen your shoulder muscles and reduce the change of injury (such as the rotator cuff) with the exercises found below.
A weight training bench is a piece of equipment that has a resemblance to a normal (e.g. park) bench, but is cushioned and designed for use in the weight room.
Weight training benches come in a wide variety of designs: fixed horizontal, fixed inclined, fixed in a folded position, with one adjustable portion, with two or more adjustable portions, with racks to hold a barbell, etc.
The burpee with jump up on the bench is a beginner plyometric exercise. This challenging exercise targets the shoulders, core and legs and is a great beginner conditioning exercise.
