Sued Over Supplement
Has anyone else heard about the class action lawsuit that was filed against
Jillian Michaels and the makers of her super, duper fat burner? Apparently the Biggest Loser trainer and ThinCare, the company that manufacturers the product, are the subject of a class-action lawsuit that was filed on February 9. The suit claims that Jillian Michaels "Maximum Strength Calorie Control" dietary supplement, which contains coffee bean extract and guarana, does not actually decrease appetite or cause weight loss as it claims. The lawsuit states: "Ms. Michaels knows better - taking two pills before eating does not miraculously cause weight loss."
First off, I don't know why someone would really think that just because she endorses a product that it would magically decrease appetite and help you shed pounds. And secondly, I really don't know why Jillian Michaels would jump on board with a "quick fix" supplement company when she is a trainer who supposedly prides herself on integrity, hard work and determination.
Anyways, good luck Jillian, and if you get out of this without tarnishing your reputation too much then maybe you might want to think twice next time before lending your name and face to a company that is out for profit, not well-being!
